A couple of things about what a demo video on the homepage should be like, in my opinion:

1. Reduce pointeless animations

   A lot of videos go overboard on animations and transitions. I find them distracting, particularly in the beginning.

2. Make it a high fidelity video

   I don’t like when the videos are mockups or stick figures. I very much prefer videos that show actual functionality.

3. Don’t just show the end result

   I would like to see the process of how you accomplish something. That will help me decide whether it’s better or worse then my current process.

4. Don’t gate it behind a subscription

   Your video is supposed to help make me want to sign up. Therefore, I find it counterintiutive if you as for information before showing me the video.
